Greece to United Kingdom [September 2023]

March 12, 2024

I received the call that every parent dreads. My 20-year-old son had been in an accident on holiday in Zante; hit by a car driving at speed, whilst riding his quad bike. Our son was covered by his father’s insurance (or so we thought), so we started the long and painful process of trying to deal with the insurance company. They delivered the killer blow that as the accident was on a quad bike, he wasn’t covered. This devastating news left us feeling very frightened and alone, with no idea where to turn.

My family and I then started to make enquiries to repatriation companies. Between us we contacted seven or eight, some didn’t respond at all and of those that did, Flight Medic was the first to reply and was the most reasonably priced. From the moment we made contact we were put at ease. The team kept us informed throughout and acted fast to find the quickest and most cost-effective solution. The Flight Medic team were amazing and managed the entire process. In such a stressful situation, the difference it made having a professional, efficient and caring team looking after us all, made all the difference.

A few weeks after the repatriation, I contacted Flight Medic again, to see if they could help with information required by my son’s insurance company. They wrote a full report and offered ongoing support should we require any further information. This was over and above anything we had expected. Everyone I have been in contact with at Flight Medic have been lovely, caring people. They are efficient, professional and get the job done. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
