Worldwide Medical Repatriation
Our experienced team are on hand to work with individual patients or their families & friends where necessary to offer the most effective means of medical repatriation. We take on making all arrangements required to make the repatriation a success.
We are able to provide a full range of United Kingdom registered health care professionals most suited to your needs, most frequently using Paramedics, Nurses and doctors. All of our professionals are empowered to deliver the care that they would like to see for their own families and have direct access to a senior clinical team in the unlikely event that this is necessary.
Our repatriation packages can include any of the following:
- Medical notes translation.
- Submission of airline specific medical clearance forms.
- Liaison with hospital teams.
- Arranging stretchers on board commercial aircraft if required.
- Arranging medical oxygen both on the ground and in the aircraft.
- Arranging the most suitable transportation requirements for our patient and family. This will always be the most clinically safe and cost effective option which may be a taxi or fully equipped intensive care ambulance.
- Regular journey updates to insurance companies / friends / family by telephone, email or SMS.
Same Day Assist
We are proud to offer this industry beating service.
We will do everything we can to get a UK registered health care professional to you or your family’s bedside the same day within Europe.
Our service is not a medical emergency response service but what we will do is get an English speaking UK registered health care professional at the patients side the same day. There are clearly some exclusions to this but in the main we can provide this service to most of Europe, as far as Egypt and North Africa. We see the remit of this health care professional to coordinate communication between a hospital, family and patient, allowing speedy information to be passed between all parties which can often expedite a repatriation.
This service is not a same day repatriation service as this is likely to be clinically unsafe. Repatriations are always conducted once the full extent of a patient’s injury or illness is known and this can only be done by communicating with a hospital and reviewing a patient’s notes. Our new and exciting service seeks to speed up the communication process and put family members at ease. Our commitment to excellent communication ensures that you are kept in the loop at all times.
Some exclusions apply, please contact us for full exclusions & more details. You must have discussed the case with us, have the legal authority to speak and act on behalf of the patient (if you are not the patient) and have funds cleared in our bank by 10am UK time for us to send a health care professional the same day.
Air ambulance provisionWe understand that all medical repatriations are expensive. Where we are able we will always suggest a commercial flight option. Sometimes this is just not possible. We work with our trusted industry partners of many years to provide you with cost effective air ambulances globally. We can even tailor a package for you that involves both a commercial flight and an air ambulance. This would be particularly useful in a situation where the patient is in a remote location.
Close protection and security provisionWe can provide a team of former United Kingdom military close protection experts with or without medical provision.
Ground ambulance provisionWe are able to provide ground ambulances in many locations across the world using our extensive network of trusted contacts. We sometimes find that a patient movement by ground is more suitable than a flight. If this is the case, we will of course let you know!
Hospital admissionWe are able to obtain admission at hospitals across the globe. We have an extensive network of hospital providers and our senior clinical team have years of experience at arranging admissions globally. We can arrange hospital admission for you without using any of our transport options.
Mental health crisis repatriationWe understand that it can be deeply distressing for those whose mental health has taken a turn for the worse whilst away from their own country. With mental health awareness increasing we have identified the need for suitable provision to assist patients in crisis or at risk of harm to be repatriated internationally. Working alongside a highly trusted provider of many years we are pleased to offer a range of mental health clinicians and discreet land based ambulance provision alongside or in addition to our usual caring international flight service. We can tailor a package best suited to the needs of the patient. Our team have years of experience working in National Health Service mental health crisis response teams so you can be assured that the safety and wellbeing of a patient is at the fore.
