Flight Medic UK are the Best Medical Repatriation Company 2021 in the UK Enterprise Awards by SME News!
The award is in honour of how we use your data in Black Box®, following General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) rules. The development of a secure video conferencing and two-way encrypted file sharing tool. As well as our ‘Who is Treating Your Patients’ campaign.
What is Black Box®?
Black Box® is at the centre of Flight Medic UK. It is Industry-leading technology, which helps the communication between our patients/ clients and ourselves. Our corporate clients have a limited access to Black Box® so they can see how the repatriation is going; keep all our communications secure and GDPR compliant.
We have also been granted funds to develop Black Box® by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The ERDF support small to medium-sized employers (SMEs) across Europe to become more competitive. These funds will go help us to upgrade Black Box® to have a secure video conferencing and a two-way encrypted file sharing tool. Enabling Flight Medic UK to talk to our clients and patients loved ones as well as transfer patients’ records securely.
Who is Treating Your Patients
This campaign spurs on the medical industry to check that the medical staff that are being sent out are suitable to the task at hand. Thus, making sure that everyone gets the best care possible when they are being repatriated.
Flight Medic UK send out a detailed resumes that are up-to-date and in real-time, using Black Box®. These includes:
- their name,
- a photo of the staff member,
- their registered clinician number,
- a brief professional history,
- their qualifications,
- a digital proof of their valid Passport
Therefore, our patients and clients always know if they have a Flight Doctor, Flight Nurse, or Flight Paramedic coming to their aide. Who will have the skills to help them.
