The Blue Light Theatre Company
Congratulations to FMUK Paramedic Craig Barley and The Blue Light Theatre Company for raising £2000 from this years panto. Craig is the Director, Producer and Co-Founder of The Blue Light Theatre Company and has been part of FMUK for the last 2 years. The Company was formed by members of the Yorkshire Ambulance Service to perform a ‘one-off’ Pantomime to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) in memory of a colleague who sadly died of the disease.
The Pantomime was a huge success with cast and audience asking for more so it was decided to continue performing each year! More importantly lots of money has been raised for the Charity. The Company now chooses to support two charities in which the proceeds are split equally – currently MNDA York and York Against Cancer.
The Company have just recently performed their fourth Pantomime, ‘Oz-Mania’, which was again a huge success and £1000 each was raised for the charities. The Blue Light Theatre Company still consists of Yorkshire Ambulance Service staff and also performers from the York stage. Every year promises a brand new script, catchy music, lots of surprises and a vast array of talent!
